After an EXTREMELY frustrating meeting with one of the TWO licensure specialists for all of Cumberland County, I decided this morning to call my NEA rep and find out what my legal rights are. Yes, I'm taking the "man" head on.
Short version: CCPS don't want to pay for an experienced teacher. Instead, during a hiring crisis mind you, they are picking apart the 15 years of experience I have and actually QUESTIONING my credentials from Virginia.
The nit-picking has gone far enough and today I'm letting the E-Bomb drop.
I might not get to teach here (after I'm done with this I have a feeling that people aren't going to like me too much-sooo sorry!) but I do know that Yankee Candle is hiring and I'm a sucker for Home Sweet Home!
