Regarding how we find stuff to do, we great recommendations from friends, both German and American. The internet is also a great resource. Luckily, this area is so dense with interesting stuff to do, you just need to gas up the family car and drive!

Thank you so much for the reply! I've very excited, trying to temper my nerves, b/c I know this move will end up benefitting in ways we could never expect...always an optimist, well cautious optimist!
I have to say, our children have enjoyed the photos of Heidelberg and surrounding areas as much as I have, and they provide a great frame of reference!
